Instructions for Authors for Journal of Neuroplasticity and Neuromodulation

1) MANUSCRIPTS. Manuscripts must be submitted electronically to one of the editors. All editorial inquiries should be sent to editor.jnn@infinitecontent.info

2) ORIGINAL ARTICLES. Because this is an interdisciplinary journal, we encourage authors to rewrite their previously published work for an educated layperson audience, thereby making it an original work. Author(s) cannot submit articles which are word-for-word identical with an already published article (excluding pre-print archives). Any re-publication must be cleared with the editor and publisher during the submission process.

3) CONTACT AUTHOR. The first author is considered the contact author unless otherwise specified. The contact author needs to provide his/her institutional/corporate affiliation (if any), street address, telephone number, email address, and primary academic degree(s).

4) COPYRIGHT TRANSFER. Submission of a manuscript confers a right-to-copy-and-disseminate license to the journal immediately for this manuscript. Authors maintain ownership of their original article, but the Publisher retains all rights of the edited work including those pertaining to electronic forms and transmissions, under existing copyright laws, except for the following, which the contact author and any co-authors specifically retain: (1) The right to make further copies of the published article for use in classroom teaching; (2) The right to distribute on the author and any co-authors' personal websites as long as a link to the journal is provided within 250 characters of the article title; (3) The right to reuse all or part of this material in a compilation of my own works including textbooks; and (4)The right to make copies of the published work for internal distribution within any institution that employs me or for conferences. The contact author takes full responsibility for all legal rights and liabilities associated with his/her words and ideas and in submitting the article to this journal tje contact author asserts that it contains no matter that is scandalous, obscene, libelous, or otherwise contrary to law. Finally, the contact author must obtain written permission for the use of text, tables, and/or illustrations from any copyrighted sources, and supply such written permissions to Kaiser Peer Review Press upon request.

5) FINANCIAL INTEREST. The contact author must disclose any financial arrangements s/he and co-authors may have with a company or institution whose product figures predominantly in a submitted manuscript. This information may be conveyed by institutional and corporate affiliations.

6) ABSTRACT & KEYWORDS. Please provide an abstract of not more than 250 words and 5 to 10 keywords for index purposes. If not provided, an editor may create this information independently.

7) MANUSCRIPTS. The entire manuscript should be double-spaced and provided as a Microsoft Word document (.doc extension) attached to an email to editor.jnn@infinitecontent.info. Please include a brief introductory message in the body of the email. PDF and RTF formats may also be accepted. Neither the Editor nor the Publisher are responsible for correcting errors of spelling and grammar. References, citations, and organizational style should follow the guidelines set forth in the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (2001, 5th edition) whenever possible. Any grant support or other support may be listed in an acknowledgement to be published with the article.

8) FIGURES. Any material that is not textual is considered artwork, including graphs, illustrations, diagrams, and photographs. Each artwork should be attached as a separate file during submission instead of being included in the document. Image files should be in bitmap (.BMP) format and 300 dpi or higher resolution for optimal reproduction. Color art is limited to the online journal. All figures will be printed in gray scale unless special arrangements are made with the Publisher.

9) MANUSCRIPT REVIEW. Manuscripts accepted for review will be assigned to an editor and up to two additional reviewers. Typically one reviewer will have a physics background, the other a psychology or neuroscience background. Reviews and suggestions for revision will be forwarded to the contact author. Following favorable review and/or acceptable revision, a manuscript will be considered for publication and authors notified. Review may take as long as 6 weeks to complete.

10) GALLEYS. Proofs will be sent to the contact author for final reading before they are published. Only minor changes can be made at this time.

11) REPRINTS. The contact author receives a PDF copy of his/her article for posting on apersonal website and/or for archiving purposes.
